Cookie policy
This policy covers cookies and browser storage used for The Newsroom of Tomorrow short-video report at thenewsroomoftomorrow.com, including the report at /reports/short-form-video and the pages around it, and at svr.autentika.dev while that address remains in use. The controller is Autentika Sp. z o.o. See our Privacy policy for its address, contact details, data uses and your rights.
Your choice
Cookies are small records saved by your browser. Local storage is another way to keep information on this browser. We use necessary cookies to remember your privacy choice and provide report access. Functional, Analytics and Advertising are optional and off by default. Reading the site or closing a page does not give consent.
You can accept or reject optional categories together, or choose them separately in Cookie settings. A disabled provider does not receive consent for a future activation. We ask again when your choice expires or the policy or provider configuration changes. You can read the free content and request report or PDF access after rejecting all optional categories.
Necessary cookies
These first-party cookies support the service you request and apply regardless of optional category choices. They are signed to detect tampering and use HttpOnly so page scripts cannot read them. Browser settings can remove them earlier than the lifetimes below; removing access cookies may require you to request or activate access again.
Temporary session storage also remembers an unfinished privacy choice or a notice about deleting reading history (svr-privacy-pending and svr-privacy-notice). These technical records contain no reader identity and are cleared when the choice is saved, the notice is shown, or the browser session ends.
- Remembers your category choices, decision time and the policy and provider configuration versions. It contains no reader identity.
- Recognises your reader access after you open a valid access link, so you can read unlocked material.
- Records article openings needed to apply the report’s free-preview access limits consistently. It is separate from optional saved reading progress.
- Authorises the PDF download after your request. It is limited to the /api/pdf path.
Functional: remember reading progress
If you enable “Remember my reading progress”, we use the local-storage record svr-reading-v1 to remember opened and read materials and percentage progress. If you identify yourself, this history can be associated with your reader record and synchronised with the server. Without this choice, progress works in temporary page memory only.
Local storage has no fixed browser expiry. Withdrawing “Remember my reading progress” clears the local record and server history accessible through your authenticated reader session. If an old server record is no longer accessible on this browser, contact us to request its deletion. The 180-day privacy-choice lifetime is not an automatic deletion schedule for server history.
How optional providers load
When you allow Analytics or Advertising, the site loads Google Tag Manager, a Google tool that starts the providers listed below and passes your choices to them as Google consent mode signals. Before you choose, Google Tag Manager is not loaded and no request is sent to any provider.
Page addresses sent to providers keep only campaign labels (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term, utm_id) and advertising click identifiers (gclid, gbraid, wbraid, fbclid, li_fat_id, twclid, msclkid). Other address parameters are removed. Access links and technical routes are never measured. Advertising providers do not run on a page whose address or referring address carries other parameters.
Optional providers available on this site
This list reflects the site’s current configuration. The provider details below apply only when the provider is available and you have consented to its category.
- Google Analytics 4 (Analytics): available, runs only after your consent to this category.
- Microsoft Clarity (Analytics): available, runs only after your consent to this category.
- Meta Pixel (Advertising): available, runs only after your consent to this category.
- LinkedIn Insight Tag (Advertising): available, runs only after your consent to this category.
- Google Ads (Advertising): disabled on this site; no data is sent to this provider.
Analytics: Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity
If available and allowed, Google Analytics measures page visits and report interactions using browser and device information and pseudonymous identifiers. Google Tag Manager loads only after you allow Analytics or Advertising, and the Google Analytics tag runs only with Analytics consent. No Analytics requests, including cookieless measurement requests, are sent without Analytics consent.
The first-party cookies _ga and _ga_* distinguish visitors and maintain session state. The site sets a 180-day cookie lifetime; updates and browser restrictions can affect the actual expiry. Google describes the data in its Analytics data collection documentation and its Privacy policy.
If available and allowed, Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used, such as clicks, scrolling and page layout, to produce heatmaps and session replays. Text typed into form fields is masked and not sent. Clarity sets the first-party cookies _clck (up to one year) and _clsk (one day) and may use Microsoft-domain cookies. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Advertising: Meta, LinkedIn and Google Ads
If available and allowed, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag and Google Ads measure campaign results and help build advertising audiences. They can process browser and device information, page visits and cookie identifiers, and may connect this activity with accounts or data they already hold. We do not intentionally send form details to them or enable advanced matching.
- Meta may set
_fbpand, when a relevant ad-click identifier is present,_fbc, generally for up to 90 days. See Meta’s Cookie policy. - LinkedIn may set
li_fat_id, a first-party identifier lasting 30 days. Its tag may also useli_adsidand provider-domain cookies depending on the browser and LinkedIn’s implementation. See the current LinkedIn cookie table for provider-managed names, purposes and lifetimes. - Google Ads may set
_gcl_auand related_gcl_*cookies, generally for up to 90 days, and uses the consent signals for advertising storage, user data and personalisation. See Google’s advertising cookies page.
Provider cookies can be refreshed or restricted by browsers. Cookie expiry does not establish how long a provider keeps data already received. Their privacy policies, linked in our Privacy policy, explain further use and international processing.
Changing or withdrawing consent
Open Cookie settings from any page’s footer to change your choice. Withdrawal stops optional sending, removes provider cookies that this site can delete and reloads the page to remove loaded provider code. Cookies on another provider’s domain may need to be removed through your browser or that provider’s controls. Withdrawal does not undo processing already carried out with consent.
Browser settings also let you block or delete cookies and local storage. If you delete the privacy-choice cookie, optional categories return to off until you choose again. These browser choices are separate from consent to email updates; contact michal.samojlik@autentika.com to withdraw email or community consent or ask about your data.
